START WITH YOUR DAY

The devices set
the questions.

Start with the appliances that matter during an outage. Your fridge, a few lights and a network device may be more important than trying to power every socket. Apartment floor area alone cannot tell you how much stored energy you need.

A battery station and a fuel generator are different equipment. Never operate a fuel generator indoors or on an enclosed balcony. A battery station still needs manufacturer-specified ventilation and handling. Never backfeed domestic wiring through a wall outlet.

Ask about the fridge.

A compressor’s startup demand and cycling energy need a separate check. A broad battery-capacity claim does not establish compatibility.

Size the time between charges.

Use the time you need each device to run, not just how long you will be away. Our first estimator shows its assumptions and will tell you if none of the shortlist is large enough.
